What is it
We have implemented a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) system at Crewhu to ensure the authenticity of the users' access and provide a balanced, secure, and reliable ecosystem for all our customers.
If your account admin has set this feature as mandatory in the account, you must follow the following instructions in order to access any Crewhu feature.
-
How to enable it
1. Enable MFA Account
In order to enable the MFA in your profile, you have to go to the User Profile, click on the “Enable MFA button” and follow the instructions:
-
2. Authentication Mobile Apps
You must have an authentication app installed on your mobile device. There are several available on the market, but we recommend the following (all of them are free and similar):
Google Authenticator
Microsoft Authenticator
Authy
-
3. Check the account authority
Type in your password and click on "Check Password" to validate it.
-
4. Register the authenticator app
Scan the QR Code using your authenticator app:
-
5. Confirm the registration
Enter the 6 digit code that appears on your authenticator app:
The security token is a 6-digit code generated by the authentication app using the 30-second timebox as a reference. Thus, every 30 seconds, a new code is generated, and the last one is invalidated.
-
6. Get the Backup Codes
Your integration is done! Just note your Backup Codes that will be used to recover your account in case you have problems with MFA device or even lose it:
-
How to log in
After the default login, if you followed the previous steps properly, the MFA form will be displayed. Now you need to enter the code generated by the authentication app in the code fields. If the code is correct, you will be redirected to the platform.
Note:
- If you enter a wrong code, an error message is shown and you can re-enter, without the need to log in again;
- You must still use the Crewhu password to access the account;
- It is not able to access the Crewhu platform with SSO and MFA at the same time.
How to reset your MFA
If you lost your device and don't have your backup codes, you should ask your account administrator to create a request to reset your settings to the Crewhu team. This way you can re-enable the MFA.

How to enable MFA when you are using M365 to login to Crewhu via SSO? The process would ask a password, if we enter the M365 password it won't accept it.
