Introduction
The CSAT Widget allows you to display your customer satisfaction score publicly on your website or email signature. Once activated in Crewhu, you will receive an HTML snippet that can be embedded anywhere you want your CSAT percentage to be visible to prospects and customers.
Best Practice:
Activate the CSAT widget 30–60 days after launching the Crewhu platform. This gives you enough time to collect a meaningful number of survey responses, so the score you display is accurate and reflects a positive customer experience.
How to Activate the CSAT Widget
To start, log in to your Crewhu account. There, navigate to the CSAT Settings section:
Then, check the CSAT Widget toggle to activate it and set your preferred Timeframe (e.g., Last 30 days) — this controls the date range used to calculate the score shown on the widget.
The CSAT Widget is now active. So the next step is adding it to your website. For that, click View/Copy next to "View/Copy Widget Snippet" to copy the HTML code to your clipboard.
Keep this code handy — you will paste it into your website or email signature in the next steps.
How to Add the HTML Snippet to Your Website
The process varies slightly depending on your website platform, but the core steps are the same across all of them:
Copy the snippet → Open your website editor → Paste into an HTML block → Save and publish.
Below are instructions for the most common platforms.
WordPress
- Go to your WordPress admin dashboard.
- Navigate to Pages or Posts and open the page where you want the widget to appear.
- In the block editor, add a new Custom HTML block in the desired location.
- Paste the Crewhu HTML snippet into the block.
- Click Update or Publish to save.
If using the Classic Editor, click the Text tab (not Visual) before pasting the code.
Wix
- Open your Wix Editor.
- Click Add Elements on the left panel.
- Select Embed Code > Embed HTML.
- A box will appear on the page — click Enter Code inside it.
- Paste the Crewhu HTML snippet.
- Click Apply, then Publish your site.
Squarespace
- Open the page editor in Squarespace.
- Add a new block and select Code from the block options.
- Paste the Crewhu HTML snippet into the code block.
- Click Apply, then save and publish the page.
HubSpot (Website Pages or Landing Pages)
- Go to Content > Website Pages (or Landing Pages) in your HubSpot dashboard.
- Open the page you want to edit.
- Add an HTML module to the desired section.
- Paste the Crewhu HTML snippet into the module.
- Click Publish or Update.
Generic / Custom HTML Website
- Open your website's HTML file in a code editor (e.g., VS Code, Notepad++).
- Locate the <body> section and find the spot where you want the widget to appear.
- Paste the Crewhu HTML snippet directly into the code.
- Save the file and upload it to your web server via FTP or your hosting file manager.
- Refresh your live page to confirm the widget is displaying correctly.
How to Add the HTML Snippet to Your Email Signature (Optional)
You can also display your CSAT score in your email signature to build trust with every message you send.
- Open your email client settings (Gmail, Outlook, etc.).
- Navigate to the signature editor.
- Look for an option to insert HTML or switch to an HTML/source view.
- Paste the Crewhu HTML snippet in the desired location within your signature.
- Save your signature settings.
Note:
Not all email clients render HTML snippets in signatures. We recommend testing by sending yourself a message before rolling it out to your team.
Tips and Considerations
- Placement matters. The widget is most effective when placed in a visible area of your website, such as the homepage, a "Why Us" section, or the footer.
- Check rendering after publishing. Always preview the page on both desktop and mobile after embedding the snippet to make sure it displays as expected.
- When in doubt, ask your web developer. If your website uses a custom build or a platform not listed above, share the HTML snippet with your developer and ask them to place it in the appropriate location.
- Keep the timeframe consistent. If you update the timeframe in Crewhu after embedding the widget, you may need to re-copy and re-paste the updated snippet depending on how the code is structured.
