Summary
Introduction
Duplicating a campaign lets you create a new one based on a setup you've already built — reusing the survey template, thank you page, and actions without starting from scratch.
Only Crewhu Administrators can duplicate NPS campaigns.
For a full overview of the Pulse NPS module, see Pulse NPS - Overview and Navigation. To learn how to build a campaign from the beginning, see Pulse NPS - How to Create and Launch a Campaign.
How to Duplicate a Campaign
Go to Pulse > NPS > Campaigns. Find the campaign you want to duplicate — it can be active or inactive, a Test or Real campaign, a Draft or an already launched campaign — and click the Duplicate icon on its row.
A confirmation modal opens. The options shown depend on the type and status of the campaign you selected.
Crewhu never creates a duplicate without your confirmation. The copy is only created after you click Duplicate inside the modal. If you close the modal or click Cancel, nothing happens.
How Duplicates are Named
The new campaign is automatically named "Copy of [original campaign name]".
If a campaign with that name already exists, Crewhu adds a number to keep it unique — for example, "Copy of [name] (2)", then "Copy of [name] (3)", and so on. There's no limit to how many times you can duplicate a campaign.
When to Use Duplicate
Reuse a validated Test campaign. If you built a Test campaign to check your survey wording and actions, duplicate it as a Real campaign instead of rebuilding the setup from scratch.
Run the same survey for a new segment. Duplicate a Real campaign and start without contacts, then build a fresh audience list for a different group of customers.
Set up a recurring NPS check-in. Duplicate an existing Real campaign and keep the same contacts to re-send the same survey to the same audience on a regular cadence.
Options by Campaign Type
Duplicating a Test Campaign
Test campaigns use your internal team members as the audience, so the audience is never carried over to a duplicate — whichever option you choose, the new campaign is created with an empty audience.
When you duplicate a Test campaign, the modal asks you to choose what kind of campaign to create:
Duplicate as Test — creates a new Test campaign. You'll need to define the internal audience before launching.
Duplicate as Real — creates a new Real campaign. Useful when you've used a Test campaign to validate your survey wording and actions and are now ready to send to actual customers.
Duplicating a Real Campaign
The options depend on whether the campaign already has contacts:
Real campaign with contacts (launched, or a Draft with contacts already added): the modal asks whether you want to carry the audience over to the new campaign.
- Keep contacts — the duplicate is linked to the same contacts from the original audience.
- Start without contacts — the duplicate is created with an empty audience.
Real campaign in Draft with no contacts yet: since there's nothing to carry over, the modal simply asks you to confirm. The duplicate is created with an empty audience.
Note:
Contacts who already responded to the original campaign can still receive the duplicate if you choose Keep contacts — there's no restriction based on prior responses.
What Gets Copied
Regardless of campaign type, duplicating always copies:
- The email template (invitation and reminder)
- The survey page
- The thank you page (including all Promoter, Passive, and Detractor variants)
- The actions configured in the original campaign
The duplicate never inherits the original campaign's responses, scores, or sending history. It starts with zero responses, exactly like a campaign created from scratch — responses only begin accumulating once the duplicate itself is launched.
The two campaigns are completely independent after duplication. Launching one, collecting responses, or sending reminders on one has no effect on the other, even if they share the same contacts.
After Duplicating
Once you confirm, you're taken directly to the duplicated campaign's page. It's created as a Draft and listed among your campaigns, but it is not sent automatically.
From there, review and adjust anything that needs to be different — the audience, actions, reminder dates, or any template copy — then click Launch when you're ready to send it.
